Lakewood's Kindergarten Students learned a lot about owls last week. Some feathered friends visited from the zoo, and students learned about the owl's diet by dissecting owl pellets. Pellets are contents from the owl's stomach. Students found skulls, fur, and multiple types of bones of the prey. It was a fascinating unit for the children! They read many books and wrote about owls.
